Engaging Men Coordinator
The Engaging Men Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating educational and outreach programs with a focus on engaging men and boys, including school-based youth, young adults, community leaders and professionals as part of Shalom Task Force’s Education Department. Engaging Men Coordinator reports directly to Director of Community Education. This position is critical in providing coordination to educational activities related to STF’s mission. Engaging Men Coordinator contributes to an agency culture of collaboration to partner with other team members. This position has the option to work part-time (24 Hours) Monday -Thursday, with flexibility to work nights and weekends as dictated by program needs.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in coordination and implementation all aspects of awareness and prevention education programs, with focus on engaging men and boys, including school-based youth, young adults, community leaders, and professionals.
Implement planning phase needs assessments and oversee ongoing Coordinated Community Response Team implementation and meetings
Maintain regular contact with community and school partners and relevant staff
Coordinate with STF and partner staff to facilitate youth leadership and purple fellowship programs
Deliver educational programs to high school age young men.
Work with Education Department staff and school partners to plan and implement workshops for school staff members on dynamics of relationship abuse prevention, appropriate procedures for suspected abuse, and referrals
Organize training programs for professionals who work with Orthodox Jewish boys and men including school staff and rabbis, pre-marital educators, community leaders and parents
Assist in development and updating workshop materials
Participate in data collection, reporting, and other grant requirements
Attend OVW conferences and mandatory trainings
Outreach includes but not limited to:
Work in conjunction with Education Department Directors in arranging and speaking at various community forums to increase awareness and knowledge of domestic violence and STF services.
Participate in coalitions, task force meetings, and other collaborative settings.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with representatives at shuls, mikvahs, community centers, and other community settings to engage men and increase awareness of domestic violence.

Skill and Education Required:
BA or higher degree in social work, psychology, education, or related field.
1-2 years of related work including outreach.
Familiarity with Jewish Day School and Yeshiva system.
Awareness of spectrum of Orthodox and immigrant Jewish communities is essential.
Comfort using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Social Media
Understanding of domestic abuse and commitment to Shalom Task Force’s mission
Strong organizational and project management in networking efforts, maintaining program records, and evaluating participant feedback
Ability to travel for presentations and conferences
Physical Demands:
Position will be 24 hours per week or 3 days a week and may require evenings and weekends, as needed for programming.
Position will work on a hybrid remote and in-person schedule.
Candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law.
The salary range for this part-time position is $40,000-$50,000, commensurate with experience.
