Teams

Teams will consit of 3 players each. You can either select your own team or asked to be assigned to one.

Scoring

The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches and struck so the ball first bounces on the server’s side and then the opponent’s side. If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let serve. Let serves are not scored and are redone.

Flow of the Match

Each player serves two points in a row and then switch server. However, if a score of 10-10 is reached in any game, then each server serves only one point and then the server is switched. After each game, the players switch side of the table. In the final game (i.e. 5th game), the players switch side again after either player reaches 5 points.

Please note that the Shalom Task Force's Spin to Win Ping Pong Tournament and Barbecue is an outdoor event subject to weather conditions. While every effort will be made to proceed as planned, it is important to acknowledge that weather can be unpredictable and may impact the event.

There will be no rain date or venue change for the event. The tournament and barbecue will take place as scheduled, rain or shine, unless weather conditions pose a significant risk to the safety and enjoyment of participants.

In the event that Spin to Win has to be canceled due to inclement weather or any other circumstances beyond our control, participants and attendees will be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase, and we kindly request individuals to retain their proof of purchase for this purpose.

We understand that cancellations due to weather can be disappointing, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. The safety and well-being of our participants and attendees are of utmost importance, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
