Israel Program Coordinator
Shalom Task Force is seeking a dynamic, organized, and engaging Israel Program Coordinator/Presenter to coordinate and present STF’s educational programming for gap year programs, seminaries, yeshivas, and other student groups in Israel. This is a part-time, 1099 contractor role designed to support program coordination, relationship-building with schools, and direct workshop facilitation.
The ideal candidate has a background in the field of mental health or education, and experience working with teens and young adults, and is a strong presenter who is comfortable speaking with students about healthy relationships, communication, self-awareness, boundaries, respect, safety, and related topics. This person should also be warm, professional, responsive, and able to build strong relationships with school administrators and program staff.
Time Commitment
Approximately 10 hours per month from November–May, for an estimated 70 hours per year.
This includes time for school outreach and coordination, scheduling, preparation, travel, presenting, and post-program follow-up.
Compensation
$50/hour
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule STF Israel programming with gap year programs, seminaries, yeshivas, and other relevant schools or community groups.
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate presentations to students in Israel.
Build and maintain relationships with school administrators, educators, and program staff.
Serve as a professional representative of Shalom Task Force in Israel-based educational settings.
Communicate clearly and consistently with STF staff regarding scheduling, school relationships, program needs, and feedback.
Track completed presentations, school contacts, attendance estimates, and relevant follow-up information.
Support continued growth of STF’s Israel-based educational programming through outreach, relationship-building, and feedback from the field.
Qualifications
A professional background in mental health or education.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
Experience working with teens and young adults, in schools, gap year programs, seminaries, and /or yeshivas.
Strong familiarity with Orthodox Jewish communities and educational settings.
Comfort discussing topics related to relationships, communication, boundaries, respect, safety, and support-seeking.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage scheduling and follow-up independently.
Ability to represent Shalom Task Force’s mission with professionalism, warmth, and clarity.
Contractor Status
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The Israel Program Coordinator/Presenter will be paid hourly for approved coordination, preparation, travel, presentation, and follow-up time, up to the agreed annual estimate.
