Attention Parents!

On February 8th, Shalom Task Force is hosting a workshop for parents on how to speak to your children about healthy and abusive relationships. You will have the opportunity to hear from Shalom Task Force staff and Purple Fellows about the topic.

The mission of Go Purple Day is to promote awareness of domestic abuse and healthy relationships, while teaching students the importance of supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse within our community. The day is being planned by The Purple Fellows, students from schools selected to participate in the inaugural STF Purple Fellowship. The goal of this fellowship is to train and encourage students to take on leadership roles in Jewish communal work through the lens of domestic abuse prevention.

Essential to processing and applying the ideas and tools presented at the workshop is the invaluable opportunity that we have; to continue this conversation both at home and at school. Please partner with us in asking open-ended questions on what they have discussed, which ideas resonated with them, what questions they have, and if there is any specific issue that needs follow-up.
